I’m squeezing in some time to write a blog post prior to my 2pm (on a Friday!) meeting with a client. Hope to end the week well! The weather is inviting outside, but I will have to wait till the weekend to fully enjoy it. Thank God for ANZAC weekend. I am also flying to the South Island next week, it’s been about a year since I have ventured out that way, so I’m looking forward to it. Can’t reveal much at the moment as I’m planning a surprise trip which will be quite spectacular. But, all I can say is that where I am heading to, the region is famous for vineyards and world-class wine. On the topic of vineyards and wine, I was recently sent a bottle of Riesling, courtesy of Allan Scott Family Winemakers. Thank you to the team, they know I like my sweet wine! It’s not just any wine though, it’s award-winning wine. Stepping up to the winner’s plate at the recent 2015 Air New Zealand Wine Awards, Allan Scott Family Winemakers took away two gold awards for its 2014 Riesling. Quality at its finest drop. A lovely concoction of citrus and spicy floral characteristics. How do I enjoy mine? A fitting accompaniment to spicy or savoury dishes, hard cheeses or even on its own. Try it out this long weekend under the Autumn sun. Well-priced at $18 per bottle and available for purchase from most leading supermarkets and selected liquor outlets.
