Earlier in the month, my boyfriend and myself were talking about whether Lewis Road Creamery would produce ice-cream…after all it would seem like a natural transition? They must have read my mind because last week, four ice cream flavors were announced; Hokey Pokey, Vanilla, Chocolate and Rose from the Artisan range. I barely consume much dairy, but Lewis Road Creamery is always an exception! Naturally, as a pink lover, Rose was my obvious first choice. I love Rose Water in my drinks, so without a doubt, I was confident that I would love it. The first in a collection of botanically-inspired artisan ice creams is the Rose Ice Cream. It is hand-crafted in small batches using pure rose water. It is made, packed and labelled entirely by hand and in beautiful gold striped tubs. I sprinkled some edible rose petals and away I ascended to ice cream heaven. The verdict? I loved it…so much that I went to buy three more tubs of the Rose flavour from Nosh the next day, to store in the fridge. When I arrived, the ice cream tubs were beginning to disappear like hot cakes. The Rose ice cream is one of the best I have ever tasted. You won’t be disappointed.
