On 30th July 2014, I was one of the lucky guests to be invited to the Spring/Summer collection launch hosted by Number 1 Shoes at Soul Bar & Bistro. It was a spectacular sunny day & the weather couldn’t be more perfect. This new collection has a style to suit every girl.
The catwalks are awash with soft Spring ready shades of soft blush and minty green with flashes of muted metallic Pastels which make for clean and elegant warm weather dressing that looks its most modern when worn head to toe. Celebrate the season with heels, wedges, flats, and more, it’s time to bare those legs ladies.
Spring is a visual feast for all shoe lovers out there. With bold colours, fresh prints and block heels all on the table, Number One Shoes is serving up one of its most gorgeous seasons yet with a range of striking trends that’ll be everyone’s cup of tea.
With spring comes a sweet burst of romanticism. Achieve an effortlessly feminine look with this trend’s spring-ready shades of blush, nude and muted metallic while still maintaining that contemporary ‘independent woman’ edge thanks to some snakeskin prints and bold ankle cuffs. With plenty of sophisticated, practical options, these candy-coloured styles are sure to make your first no-tights appearance say WOW!
These are my favourites from the Sugar Rush range:
If the FIFA World Cup has taught us anything it’s to embrace the clashing of cultures. This trend mixes snakeskin with leopard-print and dark-coloured florals. Conquer the world in comfort with some white-soled, retro-cool flatforms. Standing tall in defiant blacks and whites, these cut-out silhouettes are a fresh alternative to plain pumps, and are basically made to be worn with ankle socks for those cooler in-between days.
These are some of my favourites from the range & of course I picked the Brighton Dress snake as my ultimate favourite from the collection & was lucky to be able to pick it as a gift! Thank you!!
For the girl who is less about spring blooms and more about simple coolness, this trend heroes the slick monochrome palette. Forget the wedge sneaker hi-top, that is so last year, this season we’re bringing back sport in its chicest form yet. Look out for ankle strapped stilettoes marked by eye-catching panels of white. We’re also a little obsessed with the simple, clean-lined chunky sandals that give you height and bodacious pins, without crippling your feet.
Some of my favorites from this range:
Ease your way into festival season by adding a touch of Bohemian to your toes. This folky, casual look featuring 70s undertones is perfect for the laid-back summer days we’re about to head into. Say hello to easy-wear, two-strap buckle slides, raffia wedges and that are sure to show off your freshly done pedi all day long!
Similar styles have been spotted on style queen Kate Middleton (Duchess of Cambridge)
No, we’re certainly not talking Hawaiian shirts styled-by-dad here. Get ready to embrace a chic sea of bright corals and multi-coloured prints with these playfully daring styles teamed up with some equally zesty accessories. You’ll be feeling like a lady on holiday in no time!
Warhol and Lichtenstein step right up! This trend handles block colours with an artistic flair that makes you want to put these shoes in a frame.
Whether you’re a simple girl or a more of a Cleopatra with your jewellery, it’s time to unravel those scarfs and let your skin shine. Choose from a selection of new season necklaces, bracelets and earrings to really give your spring that extra sparkle.
