VANITY PART DEUX

VANITY PART DEUX

Cushion foundation has been a craze for some time now and I have yet to fall in love with it. Until..I reviewed the Le Cushion Encre De Peau by Yves Saint Laurent. Now, I don’t leave my house without it. I was one of the lucky select few to try YSL’s cushion foundation since the first week of May here in New Zealand and my first impression of it was just how refreshing my face looked after application! It was my skin, but better. As part of a series of my “Vanity” feature, I have decided to feature this because every it-girl should have this in her handbag. After applying primer, I would begin by pressing the pillow applicator into the inkwell with a light touch and transfer it gently onto my skin while rolling the pillow from one side to the other onto the skin placing three fingers under its strap. Snap the lid shut and off you go to your meetings.

Upon building it, it does give a medium coverage and would normally last about 4-5 hours before I would touch it up again. My skin felt hydrated throughout and I love the dewy look with a glow. Personally, I prefer using a beauty blender to apply this cushion foundation. The YSL packaging is as per usual, always on point. The gold and black packaging falls nothing short of chic. You can use the darker shades to contour and lighter shades to highlight. I was color matched and I’m loving mine in the B50 shade and there are six shades in total which are available at YSL counters in New Zealand  since yesterday for $121 each and the refills are $72 each. A Pink&Sparkles girl is not on a budget and only luxurious beauty products will do. Whatever place she crosses, it’s no mystery that the beauty girl never abandons her confidence and her Le Cushion Encre De Peau.

YSL Rouge Volupte Shine

I have already featured these lippies previously but I love them so much I felt the need to include them in this “Vanity” feature. 11 new shades were launched a few months ago. The six sensorial oils retain long-lasting moisture on my lips and they feel oh-so-comfy. The YSL Rouge Volute Shine lippies retail at $65 each. I still need to add No.45 & No.46 to my collection.

YSL Touché Éclat Limited Edition Slogans

I remember purchasing my first Touché Éclat when I was studying in University and it felt good and a beauty product I was proud of owning. I was told they sell so many of these in a second and I totally understand why because I have yet to find one THIS amazing. I religiously use it under my eyes. Now, they are available in personalised and limited edition slogans such as “I’m not a morning person”, “All lights on me” and “No need to sleep”. I bet you can guess which one I am using, it’s a no-brainer!

I have always been a YSL girl through and through. Stay tuned to see the beautiful products I will be featuring as part of the “Vanity” series xx
